Armed with a background in architecture and public space design, with a lifelong interest in fabric, Kamya Ramachandran explores the Sari with a deliberate attempt to release it from the shackles of being a traditional, constrictive costume; rather, to make a contemporary statement of the global Indian woman. Kamya has tons of experience with soothing anxiety, nurturing bonding amongst participants and to create an atmosphere of fun, learning and shared experiences!
A disciple of the late legendary musician M Balamuralikrishna, the city-based musician and educator wowed the audience with an evening of music. Guests attending the performance by Rajavan Manian were treated to a three-course dinner prepared by Masterchef Sowmiya Venkatesan. The 3-course dinner menu that was curated was called “Three Preludes”. The menu was also specially paired with choices of cocktails or mocktails by Nativebarsg.
Based out of Chennai in India, formed in 2003, OXYGEN, a World Fusion Music Band conceptualised live music and blend with various music genres including Pop, Rock, Carnatic, Hindustani Classical, Indian Folk, and Blues. During the event hapusa cocktails by native were served as well. With juniper taken from the Himalayas and the rest of the botanicals (turmeric, mango, ginger, cardamom, coriander seeds, gondhoraj limes and almonds) plucked from within the country, Hapusa Gin is not just representative of its home but of its people: these are the ingredients you’ll find in every kitchen, spice cupboard staples that form the meals around which life and laughter is shared. Furthermore a curated evening snacks by podi and poriyal were also served at the event. The stylized menu finds its roots in quintessential heirloom foods from the small towns of Tamil Nadu, meticulously crafted with the highest quality ingredients and methodology.
